EMS Providers Receiving Disciplinary Action
TDSHS used to revel more detail about the violations of individuals and ambulance services, if not specific details they would at least include the full rule number (i.e. 26 TAC 157.16(d)(2)). It would be a great help to the public and to EMS in general if they would go back to that system.
Below is a list of the services that have received disciplinary actions according to TDSHS. Unlike TDSHS we plan on leaving the information up beyond the expiration date. We will also list disciplinary actions from previous Texas EMS Magazine and list which issue the action was listed in as we come across them.
Because of the lack of information (see above) the severity of violations are basically unknown. Because of this we are including the TDSHS disclaimer from their website:
This information may not reflect any number of factors including, but not limited to, the severity of harm to a patient, any mitigating factors, or a certificant's disciplinary history. This listing is not intended as a guide to the level of sanctions appropriate for a particular act of misconduct.
